AH3869 Deepeeka Roman Belt
Authenticity Rating: 8.75 – 9 $189
This belt is an excellent starter belt for new legionaries who wish to avoid making their own belts. The buckle, frogs, and apron are excellent, as is the weight of leather. The belt plates, however, are a bit thin for our taste, hence the lowered rating.

AH3982C Deepeeka Roman Canteen

Accuracy rating: 9.75 $50
Patterned after numerous archaeological finds, this canteen is made of steel, with brass furniture. It carries approximately one quart of water. It is one of Deepeeka’s long lasting favorites, accurately created from the start, and indispensable to any reenactor doing authentic marches and combat. The interior of this item does not come lined. We would suggest lining the interior with brewers pitch in order to avoid rust from forming inside during usage and contaminating drinking water.

AH3989 Deepeeka Roman Writing Tablet W/ Bronze Tool
Accuracy rating: 10 $29
This is an object that was ubiquitous in the Roman Empire. While paper was extremely expensive, wax tablets were a common medium of recording information, both in civilian life and in the military. Information is easily stored for the long term, as the bees wax is not easily melted by moderate heat. But the stylus provided has a flattened end that can easily erase mistakes or obsolete information. The item is well constructed of wood and bees wax, providing two tablets that face one another and close like a book. A brass stylus accompanies it.

AH3988 Deepeeka Roman Leather Bag (Pera)
Accuracy rating: 9 $126

This leather bag is skillfully patterned after the ones seen on Trajan’s column. Every soldierly reenactor will want one of these items to hold personal gear. The accuracy rating is mitigated by the machine stitching and the grade of leather. Otherwise, this item is of excellent design and manufacture.
